Description: This dataset is a 2019 inundation raster layer created to 
estimate the extent of cropland and pasture/hay inundated by flooding 
in May and June in the central United States of America, including
Missouri and portions of the surrounding states. Data represent
cropland, inundated cropland, pasture/hay, inundated pasture/hay, water
bodies, and other land. There are several causes for anomalous water, 
which could include flooding, saturated fields from rainfall, ponding, 
or intentionally flooded rice fields. 

Projection: Albers Conical Equal Area

Spatial Resolution: 30 meter

Flooding Inputs

Water Extent Data: Water extents raster files were provided by the 
NASA Disasters Program on June 19, 2019. Individual raster data from 
Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 imagery were combined to create a single 
water extent layer.
